Introduction to Gol Gohar Basketball Academy

The academic and exciting sport of basketball began its foundational activities in 2014 in the form of the "Basketball Center" with a focus on teaching fundamental techniques at youth age levels at Gol Gohar Club. This process continued until the beginning of the current solar century with basketball training for cadets and juniors, both boys and girls. In the early years of the current solar century, following a review of the strategic policies of the Board of Directors in 2022, the center's structure was upgraded to the "Basketball Academy" and its annual calendar was organized based on all official age groups of the federation. With the implementation of this strategic plan, the policy of the adult team also underwent a fundamental transformation, and priority was given to using local talents developed in the academy. The result of this knowledge-based approach was the emergence of worthy national team players at youth levels and brilliance in national leagues. Today, Gol Gohar Basketball Academy, with the registration and monitoring of more than 400 male and female athletes, the use of scientific planning software, and the guidance of coaches holding international FIBA certificates, is considered one of the most structured basketball centers in the country.
