Introduction to Gol Gohar Wrestling Academy

Wrestling, as the country's first sport, holds a distinguished position and longstanding identity among the Iranian community. Gol Gohar Cultural and Sports Club and its Board of Directors, in line with their strategic policies to serve the development of the country's first sport and relying on the proud heritage of Iranian wrestling, placed important infrastructural measures on their agenda. In this regard, after the construction and equipping of a dedicated wrestling hall in the Gol Gohar sports complex, the club's Wrestling Academy began its official activities. This academy, utilizing the knowledge of prominent coaches in the country and establishing a long-term planning model as the axis of its activities, has provided a platform for the systematic identification and nurturing of local talents.

The Wrestling Academy is currently operating with approximately 400 young and developing wrestlers in both freestyle and Greco-Roman styles. The continuous successes in this academy have been such that young wrestlers in recent years have brought numerous championships at the junior age levels. In addition, the brilliance of these talents has led several athletes to achieve the honor of wearing the national team singlet in international competitions.
